A’Donnis “Doby” Howard

Head Coach – Buffalo Blitz

Coach Howard is entering his first season with the newly formed Buffalo Blitz, an official team of the Can-am Indoor Football League. Coach Howard comes to the Blitz after serving as an offensive coordinator for the Buffalo Lightning where he led the team to their first franchise win and a tremendous overall season.

Coach Howard has experience in both playing and coaching for 15 years at the Semi-Pro Football level. In addition, he has earned numerous accolades including League and National Championships, League and National MVP awards and All-American nominations.

Prior to his coaching career, Coach Howard attended Saginaw Valley State University, where he played football for two years and earned an Associate’s Degree in Psychology. He then went onto Genesee Community College where he received an Associate’s Degree in Nursing. He continued his education and advanced his career status in nursing by attending Robert’s Wesley College and received his Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.

Outside of coaching football, Coach Howard works in the health care field as a private duty nurse helping the elderly, which is a personal passion of his. He also volunteers as a weekly tutor for young children through a community youth group. Last but certainly not least, he is also a loving father and a tremendous role model.
